War Museum of Thessaloniki is one of the longest-lived museums in Thessaloniki and specifically, this year on October 27, completes 20 years since its opening. It is housed in a building built in the early 20th century by the Italian Vitaliano Poselli.
Poselli’s works follows the rule of symmetry, in plans and facades, while employing many features of neoclassical and renaissance architecture.
The existing logo is a glossy imprint of the facade of the War Museum building. The redesign of the logo, transforms the existing logo into a simpler approach, while emphasising Poselli’s architectural principles, the base, the trunk, the crown and the symmetry, and its connection with the Greek flag.
